but there is not

one thing I would change

and though it may seem kind of strange -

I propose a toast

to new friends,

beginnings and ends,

kisses and hugs,

bashful shrugs.

"together again"

would mean there is more to the story than this,

and that there is

always a better ending

waiting and saving and mending

for that time to come.
