The pale face,
Once so cold and quiet
Becomes pink and gold
A warm smile bubbles to the surface
As she recalls the days of old;
And she spins and twirls
And puts on her prettiest gown
Dancing away from where she was once bound
The cracked dried arms
Turn to free swinging hands decorated in lime
Collecting each pearl,
Each joyous dime;
Her perfume is brand new
Light and delicious to the core,
Addicting and sweeter than that
of any department store
Her eyes glow
Long gone is her frown
The light parts her hair
And puts silver linings in her gown;
She is ready now
For the festival of the year
Where everyone joins her parade
Forever will they revere.
