My Wishes For You

I wish you many things, my dove-
bright and brave things, like love

or cool things, like ice
beneath warm fingers, so nice

or gifts upon gifts, in troves
where do they come from? no one knows

but this Christmas eve,
I hope you receive

the bright and brave truth,
of many-a-youth:

I love you,
I do.
